Principal Planning OfficerPermanent -37 hours per week£45,091 - £49,828 per annum (pay award pending)We are seeking a motivated and proactive Principal Planning Officer to join the Development Planning Team helping to deliver some of the most exciting and significant development projects within South Worcestershire. This is a key new role within the Development Planning team.Focusing on the Council's Strategic Sites the postholder will take a lead role in the delivery of complex planning projects, including the preparation of reports and technical documents.The postholder must have experience in stakeholder engagement and consultation and the ability to monitor progress to ensure the timely and effective delivery of major developments and key projects.About youThe successful candidate will have:A planning related degree or equivalentSubstantial planning experience and understanding of the delivery of strategic sites.Experience of project management and leadershipGood working knowledge of Windows based and related computer systems and their applicationsGood research and analytical skills; andA strong customer service orientation.We are always keen to support internal progression and anyone who is interested in applying for the position should review the job description and submit an expression of interest.There is no requirement for anyone to complete a full job application form.
