Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer
Precision Engineering | High-Tolerance Manufacturing
A well-established precision engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector with CMM programming capability to support its quality function within a high-precision environment.
The Role
This role involves carrying out inspection activities across incoming, in-process and final inspection, alongside programming and operating CMMs using Metrologic and Metrosoft software. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet customer and engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect precision components using manual and CMM inspection methods
*
Program, set and run CMMs using Metrologic and Metrosoft
*
Interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T)
*
Complete first-off, in-process and final inspection reports
*
Ensure accurate completion of quality documentation and records
*
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions where required
*
Maintain calibration awareness and inspection equipment care
*
Promote and maintain quality and continuous improvement standards
*
Support and guide production teams on quality requirements
Skills & Experience
Essential:
*
Experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision machining environment
*
Proven CMM programming experience using Metrologic and/or Metrosoft
*
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
*
Good understanding of quality standards and inspection techniques
*
High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
Desirable:
*
Experience in aerospace or similarly regulated sectors
*
Knowledge of GD&T
*
Experience with FAIRs and customer quality documentation
