Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior MLS Lawyer (8+ years PQE in English Law) with a strong background in asset management to join our Managed Legal Services team, working alongside our Property group.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with senior experience and an understanding of delivering excellent client service to our client with a large property portfolio, to play a critical role in guiding the legal and strategic operations for their portfolio.
The Senior MLS Lawyer will be responsible for:
1. Working as a senior legal advisor on asset management for clients with an extensive property portfolio
2. Ensure compliance with all regulations and codes of practice affecting client’s portfolio
3. Leading negotiation, drafting and oversight of leases, licences, variations, surrenders, extensions, consents and related agreements
4. Proactively managing legal risks, especially those unique to the client industry
5. Leading, managing and developing a team of legal professionals, sharing expertise in asset management fostering a high-performance culture
6. Acting as the main legal point of contact for the client and internal teams, offering insights and solutions that align with the client’s strategic goals
Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
7. Qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 8+ years’ PQE in English Law preferably gained within a busy asset management team
8. Extensive experience in asset management
9. Experience of commercial acquisitions/plot sales would be advantageous but not essential
10. Experience with complex asset management portfolios or large client accounts
11. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
12. Proficiency in the use of legal technology platforms and digital tools to manage client portfolios, track performance and compliance, and make data-driven decisions
