Dementia charity need Trustees to support the organisation. We have been awarded a substantial grant from the National Lottery. We have big ambitions so we need your help to achieve them!
What difference will you make? This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support for people living with dementia. As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity.
From policy making, to practical support for the staff in the Information Centre and many other challenges, you will make a difference from day one in this role. What are we looking for?
Trustees with various skill sets required and a passion to support people affected by dementia. We need trustees with various skill sets and with some experience in an organisation, small or large. This could be voluntary. Those skill sets might include people with finance or treasurer experience, HR, Grant funding, project management or Charity Administration and Governance.
What will you be doing?
Trustees play a hugely important role at Dementia Friendly Keighley. A small but impactful charity, at the heart of our community whose employees offer a much used and well-respected service to people living with dementia and their family, friends and carers in the Keighley area.
Charity Commission Number 1171003. We need trustees with various skill sets and with some experience in an organisation, small or large. This could be voluntary. Those skill sets might include people with finance experience, HR, Grant funding, project management or Charity Administration and Governance. However, most important is an interest in what we do, and enthusiasm to help us do it.
The trustees meet monthly for two-hour board meetings and there are some time commitments outside of that. As well as being ideal for people who want to volunteer in this amazing charity, the role can also support you in developing skills and knowledge in your career. We truly do want trustees of all backgrounds, ages and characteristics.
