Are you an experienced HV Senior Authorised Person with full SAP authorisations, including sanction for test?
NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading provider of power distribution services who are looking for a skilled Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join their field-based engineering division. This role is key in delivering HV installations, maintenance, repairs, and product support services across the South of England or Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of HV projects ranging from major CDM construction to smaller day works and maintenance.
* Produce switching programmes, safety paperwork, and RAMS for HV operations.
* Carry out HV installations, refurbishments, testing, and fault-finding.
* Interpret electrical drawings, complete test certificates, reports, and job packs.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, distribution safety rules, and best practice.
* Support and mentor HV engineers and trainees, maintaining SAP competence.
* Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and utilities to coordinate site works and project delivery.
Requirements:
* Proven track record in the electrical / distribution industry.
* Holds full SAP authorisation, including sanction for test (DNO such as UKPN, SSEN, WPD etc.).
* Strong knowledge of health & safety, distribution safety rules, and HV systems.
* Technically qualified (BTEC, City & Guilds, or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering).
* Computer literate and proficient with MS Office.
* Full UK driver's licence and willingness to travel, including overtime and weekend work where required.
Desirable:
* Private Network, DNO, or additional HV authorisations.
* 18th Edition / 2391 Inspection & Testing.
* First Aid, IPAF, PASMA, SMSTS certifications.
* Commissioning, mentoring, and fault-finding experience.
