Why You’ll Love This Role
As our Junior Digital Accessibility Analyst, you will work closely with our Accessibility Team to advocate for accessibility and help teams with implementation and testing to create engaging, interactive digital activations that cater to all consumers, including those with various disabilities (vision, hearing, physical, cognitive, temporary, and situational). This role is about setting up the teams for success and establishing your mark within the agency while we invest in your professional development from day one.
Responsibilities
* Familiarity with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
* Attain comprehensive proficiency in the accessibility toolkits utilized by our clients
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accessibility compliance throughout the development process, including concept evaluation, wireframes, designs, content creation, development, and testing
* Work closely with the Senior Director of Digital Delivery and other Accessibility Specialists to drive company‑wide accessibility initiatives
* Serve as a liaison with external accessibility vendors for testing purposes
* Oversee the accessibility of digital content across various platforms, encompassing emails, websites, in‑app webviews, mobile games and AR/VR experiences
* Provide support to teams in understanding and addressing accessibility audit feedback from external vendors
* Demonstrate a commitment to professional development by actively pursuing relevant qualifications when appropriate to their role, such as CPACC or Trusted Tester certification
* Assist the Accessibility Team in establishing and maintaining documentation processes, as well as updating the resource centre regularly
* Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience We Would Like You To Have
* 1‑2 years of experience in accessibility, user experience, or related fields
* Basic understanding of WCAG compliance levels (e.g., A, AA, 2.1/2.2) with a willingness to expand knowledge
* Some familiarity with common web technologies like CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
* Knowledgeable about various assistive technologies used by individuals with disabilities
* Technologically adept and eager to explore new platforms and concepts
* Strong interpersonal skills, capable of fostering trust and rapport with diverse personalities
* Excellent time management, organizational abilities, and communication skills
* Enjoys problem‑solving and identifying solutions
* Passionate about creating inclusive digital experiences
* Experience with accessibility audits in an agency environment
* Ability to review code to ensure structure is set up correctly (e.g., landmarks, headings, listings)
* Proficient in developing, documenting, and executing processes
* Some familiarity with using assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText, VoiceOver, TalkBalk
* Experience with project management software such as Confluence, Jira, Smartsheet, Teams, Slack, and MS Office
