We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team at a well-respected care home located in Penn. Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping duties, ensuring all areas are kept to a high standard.
* Ensure infection prevention and control (IPC) measures are followed in all tasks, particularly in sensitive areas like resident rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms.
* Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of storage areas, kitchen, and staff areas.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with legislation and guidelines.
* Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
* Ensure all cleaning supplies are stored safely and replenished as required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, ideally in a care home or healthcare setting.
* Familiarity with Infection Prevention & Control guidelines and practices.
* Knowledge of health and safety protocols, particularly in care environments.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* A positive, caring, and professional attitude.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Desirable:
* Health and Safety certification or experience in a similar field.
* Enhanced DBS check (we can help facilitate this if needed).
