This role demands hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development. The Supervisor is responsible not only for maintaining workflow and production targets but also for fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.

You will act as the bridge between management and operatives, ensuring company policies, procedures, and objectives are fully understood and executed on the production floor.

Core Responsibilities

* Track and analyse KPIs, including:
* Output rates
* First-time quality (FTQ)
* Rework/reject levels
* Oversee material flow across workstations, coordinating with the Materials & Stores team to avoid shortages or delays.

2. Team Supervision & Development

* Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of operatives, creating a positive and productive working environment.
* Set clear daily and weekly objectives, ensuring alignment with wider production targets.
* Provide hands-on support, coaching, and mentoring, with emphasis on:
* Installation practices
* Safety awareness
* Quality standards
* Efficient working methods
* Conduct performance reviews and skills assessments, identifying development opportunities and training needs.
* Actively support the onboarding and integration of new team members, ensuring they understand company values, expectations, and safety practices.
* Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and respect.

3. Quality & Compliance

* Ensure all PUC units meet technical drawings, build specifications, and customer requirements.
* Work in partnership with the Quality Assurance team to manage inspections, audits, and sign-off processes.
* Investigate defects and deviations using root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Drive a "right first time" approach, embedding quality into every stage of production.
* Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
* Conduct and document safety checks, toolbox talks, and risk assessments as required.

4. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

* Champion lean manufacturing principles, focusing on waste reduction, process simplification, and flow efficiency.
* Support and contribute to Kaizen events, cross-departmental projects, and innovation initiatives.
* Identify opportunities for improvement and best-practice adoption.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies and bring forward ideas for operational improvement.

Mandatory Responsibilities

* Uphold all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Promote and model safe working behaviours at all times.
* Ensure a clean, organised, and efficient production environment in line with 5S principles.
* Demonstrate and reinforce company values of integrity, professionalism, and teamwork.
* Represent the company with professionalism when liaising with other departments, suppliers, or external stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
