We are seeking highly motivated staff with a patient-focused approach to join our Broomfield Theatres team as a Health Care Assistant (HCA).
This role requires an enthusiastic, committed, and diligent individual who is eager to move into a specialist department, capable of working within a dynamic team, and committed to maintaining high standards of patient care. An on-call commitment is required to cover out-of-hours work.
Opportunities for career progression are available; initially starting in a Band 2 position, you will be eligible for a Band 3 position upon completing your competencies and healthcare certificate.

Main duties of the job
As a member of the Care Team, assist qualified staff in delivering a caring, effective, patient-focused service in line with the Trust's aims, objectives, and standards. Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining a safe care environment by preparing and clearing rooms/theatres and equipment, with reference to infection control and safety standards.
* Providing sensitive and appropriate clinical care under guidance from qualified staff, respecting personal dignity and beliefs.
* Handling and exchanging information with care, accuracy, and confidentiality.
* Ensuring effective communication within the care team and with patients, relatives, and visitors.

Qualifications
* Good general education, e.g., GCSEs or equivalent
* NVQ in healthcare
Experience
* Experience working in a healthcare setting
