About The Role
We have high aspirations and standards for ourselves and our students and this role will be an essential one in supporting the colleges mission to transform lives through learning and to ensure that the college is a great place to learn, ensuring that our students get the highest quality learning experience through excellent teaching and learning, innovative approaches to the delivery of our curriculum and building a culture of outstanding practice across all aspects of the colleges delivery.
This role will support the Vice Principal Curriculum (Adult) and Vice Principal Curriculum (Apprenticeships) in ensuring that the college provides high quality learning for adult and apprentices who need to gain skills and qualifications in maths and English.
The role is a leadership position responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of maths, English and Essential Digital Skills provision for adults and apprentices across the college. This includes both GCSE and functional skills ensuring high quality teaching, learning and outcomes that meet or exceed the National Benchmarks. The role will drive innovation, promote inclusive practices and support the colleges mission to be a great place to learn.

The Current Key Objectives For The Role Are
Ensuring a high-quality student experience which leads to outstanding achievement, progression and employability outcomes across Maths, English and Essential Digital Skills programmes for adult and apprentices.
Leading, developing and maintaining the quality of English, Maths and Essential Digital Skills teaching, learning and assessment so that the college is rated at least Good by Ofsted.
Leading the development, planning, delivery and monitoring of the Colleges Curriculum in relation to English, Maths and Essential Digital Skills programmes for adults and apprentices.
Leading a team of managers and staff to effectively implement the curriculum and manage the quality of Maths, English and essential digital skills provision for adults and apprentices.
Development of College policies and procedures to support an outstanding curriculum and student experience and to ensure the college complies with relevant legal duties in relation to English and Maths provision.
Supporting the Vice Principal Curriculum (Adults) and the Vice Principal Curriculum (Apprenticeships) to develop and implement plans that develop a culture where maths and English is everybodys business.
Undertake teaching responsibilities of 100 hours, including cover, if required
What We Can Offer You
As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £50,931 - £59,043per annum based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
