This is a brand-new senior position created for someone with an in depth knowledge and understanding of child development and behaviour. This is term-time only part-time position requires the successful candidate to flexibly work 30-40 hours Monday to Friday. Ofsted rated us GOOD in our recent inspection, recognising our high standards of care and education The key responsibilities for a Specialist Early Years Teacher is to: Support and educate the team and parents on the development and milestones of children aged three years plus Educate others on the importance and delivery of the early years curriculum Work closely with parents and your team in the preparation of children going to school Model and monitor best practice in accordance with regulatory guidelines Work closely with your team to create a shared vision of the room Supervise, support, and allocate tasks and duties to your team Support with new starter inductions, welcoming them to the team and wider Kindred family Performance management when required through supervisions and one to one meeting’s Deputise in the absence of Senior Management Conduct nursery tours with confidence to prospective parents Be a key holder for the nursery To be successful for this role you should: Hold a full and relevant Early Years Level 6 Childcare Qualification or higher (QTS, EYPS, EYTS) Have experience working with children aged three years plus Have good time management, meeting deadlines Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Provide outstanding customer service This is the perfect opportunity for an individual with a passion and genuine interest in pre-school aged children and their development. This role would be best suited for an experienced Room Leader or Senior Nursery Nurse wanting to share their skills, expertise and knowledge with the pre-school team.
