The Data Analyst in L&SD will be responsible for managing reporting on L&SDs KPIs and DPIs, proactively analysing licensing data to identify patterns and trends in customer behaviour, and running reports and creating dashboards to support day-to-day operational performance across the function. What you will be doing: Work with L&SD management to identify, create, measure and report on performance indicators to support L&SD operations. Provide regular written reports and narratives based on accurate data extraction and delivery against performance indicators. Proactively analyse licensing data to identify patterns and trends in customer behaviour and demographics (e.g. licence renewals), to inform decisions on resource planning and assess the impact of L&SD initiatives/workstreams on customer contact. Proactively analyse the link between customer contact and each stage of the licensing process. Support the development of a more data-driven approach to monitoring performance across L&SD teams. Oversee the delivery of regular robust reporting to drive and facilitate decision-making across L&SD. Build dashboards to support operational performance across each area of L&SD. Use data to identify potential gaps in operational processes and procedures to support continued improvement in L&SD operations. Compile L&SD-related data reporting in response to queries from L&SD management team. Proactively analyse performance data following system releases and process changes to identify unexpected outcomes. Liaise with key staff across all relevant teams to ensure effective monitoring of systems and processes. Person specification What skills and experience are we looking for? A high standard of written and verbal communication, communicating accurate information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in coherent written reports. Ability to use reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI and SSRS, to create complex reports with multiple data sets, complex visualisations and features such as drill-downs, using the most appropriate medium to visualise data and tell a compelling story. Ability to write complex select queries including use of aggregation, sub queries and features such as union. Able to use logical and creative thinking skills to respond to problems in databases as they occur and consider workarounds. Experience of providing a high standard of customer service whilst delivering organisational objectives. Experience of gathering evidence, analysing information objectively and making decisions and recommendations to managers. Demonstrable ability to quickly develop close working relationships with colleagues and use these relationships to obtain relevant information. High levels of drive, determination and commitment with ability to act under own initiative and constantly strive to deliver excellence in work. Ability to prioritise urgent issues whilst achieving outcomes to agreed deadlines. Excellent IT and mathematical skills Understanding of data governance and data modelling, with an ability to compare different data models. Ability to critically examine data and determine whether it is fit for purpose, including performing data preparation and cleansing with limited guidance.
