Shift Manager
We are looking to recruit Shift Managers for our new Distribution Centre opening in Daventry (postcode: NN11 8QL). We are looking to fill a mixture of shift patterns which operate on a any 5 days from 7 cycle (including weekends). Available shift patterns include:
* Days (6am-2pm)
* Lates (2pm-10pm)
* Nights (10pm-6am)
Pay, Working Hours & Benefits
We offer an annual salary of £38,000. In addition to your pay you will also benefit from:

Key Responsibilities
* Utilise available resources to maximise efficiency in order to achieve and exceed KPIs.
* Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse, as well as providing a safe working environment for all by adhering to the Site Health & Safety procedures and ensuring that these are understood and practiced by the entire team.
* Ensure high levels of hygiene and housekeeping in the warehouse at all times and deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
* Address any performance issues or training needs.
* Monitor, review and act upon operational reports to maintain quality and performance, escalating any potential issues to the appropriate Site Manager.
* Manage new starters to receive comprehensive induction training and ensure team members are multi‑skilled through planned training, coaching and development.
* Promote a culture of employee engagement and continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain high customer focus and service.
* Conduct team briefings daily/weekly, discussing any issues that may affect the working environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* A proven track record of cost savings, productivity, quality control and error reduction.
* Excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills.
* Ability to communicate in an open and honest manner with the team, transport & the customer.
* Commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility to work various shift patterns to respond to customer demand.
* Experience of HR-related activities; performance review, appraisal, disciplinary, grievance and knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
* Monitor inbound or outbound Trunks to ensure SLAs are strictly adhered to.
* Flexible approach to working hours – shifts are 12‑hour, 4-on-4-off cycle (including weekends). Note: shift patterns may vary between 5‑day 7‑cycle and 4-on-4-off 12‑hour cycles.
* Based out of our site in Monkspath, Solihull, you will need to have a flexible approach to working hours.
