Commissioning Engineer

I am looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to work in the Brighton area. The perfect applicant will have knowledge and experience working on projects within wastewater or water treatment.
Role: Commissioning Engineer
Location: Brighton
Contract: Freelance
Rate: £430 - £450
When: ASAP

Duties will include:
1. Carry out Commissioning Engineers R&R's and deliver schemes in a safe compliant manner
2. Review and monitoring of MEICA related Project risks.
3. Attend commissioning systems inductions and toolbox talks.
4. Liaise with the Design team to ensure plant commissioning requirements are incorporated at design stage and included in appropriate scope of works.
5. Review of design deliverables, including FDS, equipment and instrument lists, P&IDs, control philosophy and telemetry requirements
6. Review and development of Compliance & Commissioning Plans in conjunction with design intent
7. Responsible for the MEICA & Commissioning delivery of the assigned project in conjunction with the MEICA Lead
8. Ensuring a full understanding of the MEICA requirements of the project, including a full understanding of the commissioning requirements and interfaces with existing equipment and processes
9. Ensuring the development of the Project Commissioning Plan, Commissioning Strategy and Commissioning documentation are completed in a timely manner and meets with the project scope and deliverables.
10. Provide input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and Documentation.
11. Liaise with sub-contractors regarding commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
12. Assist Training Coordinators in compilation of training deliverables and engage in SW Training sessions.
13. Assist O&M Coordinators in compilation and review of O&M Manuals.
14. Distribute Commissioning Log / Daily Diary's and any other information from Engineers.
15. Assist in the preparation of take over reports
16. Liaise with the complete scheme delivery team.
Skills Required:
17. CSCS card
18. A valid clean UK driving license
19. Water hygiene card (blue water card)
20. Practical knowledge of water & or water recycling processes
21. Ability to work as part of a project team
22. Proven Electrical / Mechanical commissioning experience
23. Safe delivery of water projects that are time and cost efficient.
24. Be able to demonstrate the ability in site management and delivery of MEICA / Commissioning
25. Be able to demonstrate an understanding of health, safety and environmental approaches
