Drivers will be asked to do multi drop deliveries in a 3.5 ton temperature controlled Van to commercial clients in Hospitality, Catering, Retail and Wholesale or any business operating a commercial kitchen. The start times will be approx 5.00 am if doing a longer distance run going into London for example. 7.00 am start for local standard runs. The first task will be to order pick the goods they are delivering from the warehouse. This is a freezer or chiller warehouse. Full appropriate PPE is provided. The driver will need to then load the route onto the Van in the order provided by the route planners. This must not be changed without authorisation, The work is very physical due to the nature of the product. The standard working day is approx 8 hours. Drivers working ahdoc or less than 40 hours get paid £12.35 and those working 40 hrs plus with go up to £12.45
