About the Opportunity
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a mechanically biased Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Keighley. As part of our Yorkshire project team, you will lead the delivery of a significant project starting this summer, expected to run for approximately 12 months, with the potential for ongoing work for years to come.
Your mission? To ensure the reprovisioning of existing areas at Airedale Hospital, facilitate departmental moves, and manage the vacating of areas slated for demolition. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering all activities safely, profitably, and to the highest customer satisfaction.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Safety First: Ensure our safety-first message is visible and integrated into all project activities.
* Pre-Commencement Activities: Participate in planning to maximize opportunities, efficiency, and profitability.
* Scope Review: Analyze project scope to ensure precise alignment with customer requirements.
* Risk Management: Identify project risks and opportunities, taking responsibility for mitigation and enhancement.
* Engineering Solutions: Ensure solutions are procured and delivered within financial and commercial objectives.
* Progress Reporting: Provide accurate and timely updates on site progress to the Project Manager and Commercial Lead.
* Team Leadership: Manage sub-contract resources and lead project team members to maximize performance.
* Customer Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
* Project Closure: Ensure project closure meets customer requirements while maximizing profitability.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Demonstrable experience in electrical installations within a construction environment.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Industry-recognized trade or professional mechanical qualification.
* Specific experience on high-value mechanical building service projects (£10m).
