We are looking for a creative Functional Skills Tutor to empower young people with learning disabilities and autism. You won’t just be teaching from a textbook; you’ll be designing "outside the box" lessons that integrate Maths and English into real-world employability skills, helping our learners secure paid employment and independence. Key Responsibilities Deliver Accredited Qualifications: Teach Functional Skills (English & Maths) up to Level 2. Inspire & Engage: Create dynamic lessons that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning. Collaborate: Work within a supportive team to provide holistic support for every intern. About You (Requirements) Essential: Education: GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) is mandatory. Teaching Background: Experience delivering Functional Skills (English & Maths) up to Level 2. Classroom Management: Strong ability to manage diverse learning needs and behaviours. Performance Driven: Proven ability to meet targets and KPIs. Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS) is preferred. Candidates with a Level 3 qualification and a willingness to work towards a Level 5 will also be considered. Desirable: Experience supporting individuals with SEN, learning disabilities, or autism.
