aPriori’s Manufacturing Process Modeling team plays a key role in developing and improving advanced manufacturing process models that generate actionable insights about profitability, manufacturability and sustainability. This position combines manufacturing expertise with a willingness to develop software skills (supported by training) to build robust process simulation models that integrate with cloud-based engineering tools.

Belfast, UK (Hybrid)


Responsibilities

* Research, design, and develop manufacturing process simulation models that deliver actionable insights for diverse use cases (e.g., design engineering, cost engineering, sourcing, quoting)
* Identify and implement improvements to existing process models to enhance accuracy, maintainability, and performance
* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure process model data and insights are effectively integrated into cloud-native applications
* Contribute to an agile development team, delivering high-quality, reliable software in a predictable and iterative manner
* Provide technical expertise and respond to inquiries from our customer-facing teams related to manufacturing process models
* Mentor colleagues and support the professional growth of the team


Requirements

* Ability to deconstruct manufacturing processes to identify key factors influencing manufacturability, cost, and environmental impact
* Customer-focused mindset and enthusiasm for solving real-world manufacturing and engineering challenges
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Proficiency in writing clean, reusable, and maintainable code that follows established best practices
* Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term technical quality on multi-month projects


Education And Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
* Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
* Demonstratable interest in scripting or software development
* Track record of leading small technical teams, including providing design direction, reviews, and prioritization support
