Overview
SEND & SEMH Teaching Assistant - Specialist School. We are seeking a dedicated SEND & SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils aged 7-16 with a wide range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, anxiety, and complex behavioural challenges.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support across KS2-KS4.
* Help deliver tailored interventions in core subjects and personal development.
* Support pupils with behaviour regulation, emotional wellbeing, and communication needs.
* Use strategies such as visual aids, sensory tools, and restorative approaches.
What we're looking for
* School-based experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH.
* Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and behaviour management.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience.
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
Contract and development
This is a full-time & permanent, term-time role with opportunities for ongoing professional development.
