Role Overview
The Restorative Implant Dentist will manage the restorative phase of implant treatment—from detailed planning through to final delivery. The position involves collaboration with the surgical team, dental technicians, and hygienists to ensure seamless, high-quality implant rehabilitation.
This role is ideal for a clinician passionate about advanced restorative dentistry, digital workflows, and complex implant prosthetics.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and interpret diagnostic imaging for restorative and implant cases.
* Plan and deliver complex implant-supported and restorative treatments (crowns, bridges, full-arch cases, overdentures).
* Collaborate with the surgical team to support prosthetically driven implant placement using CBCT and CAD/CAM systems.
* Take accurate digital or conventional impressions and coordinate effectively with dental laboratories.
* Conduct try-ins, verifications, and final fit appointments with precision, focusing on occlusion and aesthetics.
* Provide follow-up care, including peri-implant monitoring, maintenance, and adjustments.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene and long-term implant aftercare.
* Maintain detailed, compliant clinical notes aligned with CQC and GDC requirements.
* Participate in case discussions, audits, and quality improvement activities.
* Adhere to clinical governance, infection control protocols, and data protection standards.
Essential Requirements
* GDC registration as a Dentist with active professional indemnity insurance.
* Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in restorative and implant dentistry.
* Proven ability to plan and restore implant cases independently.
* Strong understanding of occlusion, aesthetics, and digital restorative workflows.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient management skills.
* Commitment to maintaining exemplary clinical and ethical standards.
Desirable Experience
* Postgraduate qualification/diploma in Implantology or Restorative Dentistry.
* Experience with digital implant planning software (coDiagnostiX, Exoplan, 3Shape, etc.).
* Knowledge of full-arch rehabilitation workflows (All-on-4 / All-on-6).
* Prior experience working within a specialist or multidisciplinary environment.
