A respected independent garage in Bracknell is looking to recruit a highly capable Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician / Automotive Mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys solving complex faults — not just routine servicing.
This position is suited to a technician who values consistency, professional respect, and a clean working environment, while still getting hands-on with meaningful mechanical and diagnostic work across a wide range of vehicles.
The Opportunity
You will become a key member of a small, professional team where your experience is trusted and your input matters. The workshop operates Monday–Friday only, allowing genuine work-life balance while maintaining a steady flow of varied repair work.
Rather than repetitive fast-fit jobs, you'll handle real mechanical work — including diagnostics, major repairs and problem-solving tasks that require skill and judgement.
Package
* Up to £36,000 salary depending on experience
* Monday–Friday 8:30am–6:00pm

Your Responsibilities
* Advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding
* Mechanical repairs including clutches, timing chains, cambelts and braking systems
* Servicing and maintenance to high workshop standards
* Inspection and safety assessments
* Repair of suspension, steering and engine components
* Advising on repair solutions and prioritising workloads
Requirements
* Level 2 qualified Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician
* Around 5+ years workshop experience
* Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair ability
* MOT licence advantageous
* Full UK driving licence
* Reliable, organised and quality-focused approach
