Job Title: Housing Officer
Location: Hounslow
Salary: £20ph (weekly pay) 6 months temp-perm

A Housing Officer's role involves managing and maintaining the relationship between tenants and a housing provider. This includes tasks like tenancy management, addressing anti-social behavior, and ensuring properties are well-maintained. They act as a key point of contact for tenants, providing advice, information, and support to help them sustain their tenancies.
Key Responsibilities:
o Tenancy Management:
Administering tenancy agreements, handling tenancy changes (e.g., succession, assignment), and managing tenancy terminations. This also includes conducting settling-in visits for new tenants and property inspections.
o Property Management:
Overseeing the upkeep of properties, including addressing repairs, ensuring properties are safe and habitable, and managing void properties (vacant units) for re-letting.
* Rent Collection and Arrears Management:
Monitoring rent accounts, working with tenants on payment plans, and liaising with relevant agencies (e.g., Housing Benefit) to help tenants manage their finances and avoid arrears.
* Anti-Social Behavior (ASB) Management:
Addressing complaints and issues related to ASB, working with tenants and other agencies to resolve issues and maintain a peaceful living environment.
* Customer Service and Communication:
Providing excellent customer service, addressing tenant enquiries, and building positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
* Compliance and Legal Matters:
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and housing policies, including handling legal processes related to tenancy breaches and evictions.
* Community Engagement:
Participating in community events, engaging with tenants, and fostering a sense of community on the estates.
