Overview
This is a delivery driver role delivering frozen Wiltshire Farm Foods meals, working 16 hours per week, 6 days on a 2-in-6 rota including bank holidays. Working hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Salary: £12.60 per hour + bonus + company benefits.
Drivers are the face of the business, interacting with customers at their doors. You will work in a coldstore environment at around -20ºC. Protective clothing is provided, with breaks to warm up and have hot drinks as necessary. You will be part of a wider team and may move between teams for flexibility and development. The company is part of the apetito group and is focused on delivering delicious and nutritious meals while maintaining high service standards.
Typical duties include delivering meals, picking orders in the coldstore, updating customers via the delivery app, maintaining customer confidentiality, assisting the office and picking teams when required, and reporting health and safety, stock quality, and mechanical issues.
Responsibilities
* Deliver frozen meals to customers in a timely manner
* Picking orders within the coldstore
* Using the app to update customers on deliveries
* Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
* Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van
* Drive safely, responsibly and within the law
* Clean and refuel your van as needed
* Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays
* Ensure customer confidentiality
* Help the office and picking teams when required
* Report health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues
* Assist the team if another member is absent or on holiday
* Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet drops and sheltered housing visits to attract new customers
Essential qualifications
* Experience within a customer service-based role
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence
* Basic computer literacy including use of phone apps
* Evidence of work stability
* Basic secondary education
Desirable qualifications
* Experience of multi-drop delivery role
* Experience within a care-based role
* Warehouse experience
* Health & Safety awareness

Other requirements
You must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 2 years. All offers of employment are subject to a Driving Assessment, Driving Licence checks and basic DBS checks. This role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers and is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; a basic DBS disclosure is required.
