Summary
In summary, the post holder is responsible for developing and delivering secure software solutions using modern frameworks and practices initially on a greenfield solution. Working in an agile environment the post holder will be expected to work within a cross functional team and proactively drive continuous improvement in software, techniques and processes.

The post holder will be responsible for highly complex strategic and innovative solutions with the ability to present and articulate technical executions clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders.
As Principal Developer the post holder will have significant authority and autonomy to ensure service delivery and quality standards are maintained within the specialist innovative technical development management unit. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the compilation of the business plan requiring development of innovative solutions that will support the trust’s Digital Clinical Strategy.
As Principal Developer, the post holder will take an active leadership role in your profession, keeping up to date with the latest technologies, standards and best practice, and leading others to also promote and drive high standards and best practices.
Required skills and experience
* Expert knowledge of .Net, C#, WebAPI, Rest
* Expert knowledge developing Microservices/Modular Monolith Applications using Modern design patterns and techniques
* Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
* Expert knowledge writing comprehensive unit tests
* Knowledge of consuming and modifying CI/CD pipelines
* Experience working with APIs of varying types and integrating with 3rd parties
* Experience of migrating legacy applications
* Capable of teaching/mentoring/pair-programming with other members of the team
Desirable skills and experience
* Microsoft Azure - Experience of Azure Serverless technologies/Docker
* Experience of working in a Continuous Delivery or Deployment environment
* Experience of developing any backend API frameworks
