This is an exciting opportunity to support children with special educational needs, helping them thrive in a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Role Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent position at a friendly primary school in Kingston Upon Thames
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
* Assist in adapting learning activities and classroom resources to support individual learning styles
* Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised education plans (EHCPs)
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence
* Support children with personal and social development, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and encouraged
Experience & Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) or willingness to undertake training
* Enhanced DBS check required
