Role Overview
We're looking for a motivated Trainee Butcher to join our team — someone eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our high standards of craft and service.
You'll be based primarily at Farrington Farm Shop, but will also work shifts in our Bath store. The variety of sites gives you exposure to different customer bases and workflows.
You'll be fully trained on the job with a structured progression path into more senior butcher roles.
What We're Looking For
* Genuine interest in food, craft butchery, or the culinary trade
* Hardworking, reliable, punctual with a good work ethic
* Attention to detail, especially in hygiene, meat handling & safety
* Comfortable working in chilled environments and on your feet
* Able to travel between stores — own transport or full driving licence is essential
* Willingness to learn and take direction
What You'll Learn & Do
* Knife skills, cutting, boning, trimming
* Sausage, burger & smallgoods production
* Food hygiene and safety (e.g. HACCP standards)
* Customer service and counter assistance
* Stock control, inventory & waste management
* Cross-site work exposure (Farrington & Bath)

Pay: £20,280.00-£30,000.00 per year
