About The Role Restricted Funding Finance Business Partner Location: UK Flexible location (Remote) Salary: £, to £, per annum (plus ILW, if residing & working in London) (DOE) Hours: per week, (Monday to Friday am to pm) Contract: Permanent Could you act as a trusted advisor across the British Red Cross (BRC), ensuring effective implementation of the Insured Funding model, Headroom funds, and management of Restricted Funds?
Could you work with senior colleagues to identify and manage financial risks and opportunities linked to the Insured Funding model?
Could you analyse and oversee restricted funds raised and spent, ensuring compliance with policies, and resolve complex issues? What will a day in the life of a Finance Business Partner involve?
1. Build and maintain strong relationships between Finance, Fundraising, UK Operations and International Directorates, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
2. Lead the alignment of forecasting and budgeting processes to the requirements of the Insured Funding model in partnership with budget holders, leveraging expertise in finance systems.
3. Partner and advise senior stakeholders across the BRC in shaping and articulating their strategies in financial terms to successfully embed the BRC Insured Funding model, and ensure risks to General Funds are understood and mitigated.
4. Ensure the successful implementation and strengthening of policies, processes, reporting and analysis to enable effective management of Restricted Funds for the organisation.
5. Partner with the Finance Business Partnering team to ensure robust management of restricted funding balances and optimisation of overhead cost recovery
6. Ensure Contribution to Costs (CTC) policies and processes are fully embedded and enhanced, providing governance and reporting of CTC.
7. More broadly, collaborate with the accounting team to ensure departmental
To be a successful Finance Business Partner, what will you need?
8. CIMA/ ACCA qualified, or fully qualified by experience or equivalent qualification
9. Data Analysis skills
10. Effective and efficient decision-making skills both as an individual and in a team environment, knowing when to escalate more complex issues.
11. Experience of explaining complex financial issues to non-finance individuals.
12. Experience of working within a complex finance function
13. Experience of developing effective business partnering relationships across multiple teams and manage a variety of stakeholders’ requirements.
14. Expertise in the management of Restricted Funds (desirable)
