Job Title: Digital Merchandising Specialist (Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Northampton Head Office (Hybrid working - once every 2 weeks)
Contract: Fixed Term contract covering Maternity Leave (12 months)
About the Role
Are you an eCommerce professional with a knack for growing brands and boosting sales? If so, we want to hear from you! This role will be responsible for managing all digital platforms with a focus on driving commercial success through strategic decision-making. You will ensure onsite merchandising aligns with the Travis Perkins trading plan, delivering a best-in-class website experience and implementing relevant onsite personalisation tools.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and execute the digital merchandising and site experience vision, including product presentation, website usability, and cross-device improvements to increase conversion rates, AOV, and margins.
2. Plan and coordinate onsite promotions and extended ranges to surpass sales targets.
3. Collaborate with Buyers and Planners to execute optimised product selections, including creating plans for web exclusives, core attachments, and extended assortments based on data and trends.
4. Manage digital marketing activities such as SEO, PPC, affiliates, and other channels to drive traffic.
5. Oversee aspects of Group Data Management to enhance website experience for customers.
6. Perform specialised online merchandising tasks, including homepage click analysis, basket content review, end-of-campaign assessments, sales volume tracking, basket abandonment, and traffic analysis.
7. Regularly review website navigation, search functions, and product placement for accuracy and relevance.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience in an eCommerce environment, with a proven track record in a similar role. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, commercial acumen, and financial understanding are essential. Excellent communication and influencing skills are required to collaborate effectively across teams.
