Job Description
About the role:
Role: PMO Lead - Finance Operations
Location: Head Office, Leicestershire
Salary: Competitive plus bonus & benefits
We’re looking for a confident and proactive PMO Lead to join our Finance Operations team and take ownership of project delivery across a busy portfolio. With over 25 systems in play, your job is to help bring structure, visibility, and momentum to our finance projects — ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business needs.
You’ll report directly to the Financial Controller for Payments and Operations and act as the central hub for project governance, planning, and performance tracking.
What you’ll be doing:
Governance & Process
* Own and standardise project frameworks, templates, and best practices
* Maintain project lifecycle discipline — from planning to gate reviews
Planning & Portfolio Management
* Support project managers with planning, scheduling, and resourcing
* Maintain and communicate the central finance project roadmap
Performance & Reporting
* Track performance across scope, time, cost, and quality
* Create dashboards, reports, and summaries for key stakeholders
* Spot patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities
Risk & Resource Management
* Maintain project risk and issue logs, driving timely resolution
* Track resource capacity and forecast future needs
Stakeholder Communication
* Act as the go-to contact for all project activity
* Help communicate progress clearly across teams and leadership
Continuous Improvement
* Identify ways to work smarter and improve delivery outcomes
* Keep on top of industry trends and bring fresh thinking to the table
About you:
* 1–3 years in a PMO, project support, or coordination role
* Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and reporting tools
* Strong analytical mindset and confidence with data
* Excellent communicator with high attention to detail
* A self-starter who’s organised, adaptable, and solution-focused
* Comfortable working across teams and managing competing priorities
A background in Finance, Business, IT or similar would be ideal — and if you're Google Suite and Excel-savvy, even better.
This is a key role for someone who thrives in structure but knows how to flex when needed. If you're ready to make a real impact in a growing finance function, we’d love to hear from you.
