Job title: Life Coach
Hours: 37 hours (5 days over 7)
Contract: Permanent
Location: City wide – admin base Technorth
As a Life Coach, you’ll thrive on working as part of a team to support some of the most vulnerable young people in Leeds. You will have a caseload of young people you support for around 6 months, who are experiencing poor mental health and are on the edge of care or disengaged from education. You will support these young people to make sustainable changes and improve their outcomes.

About You
As a Life Coach, you will bring:
* The ability to work flexibly to accommodate different lifestyles, goals, and aspirations of individual young people, including working outside normal hours such as weekends, evenings, school holidays, and some residential work.
* Effective working with young people in groups and individually to secure their commitment to achieving their life goals.
* Knowledge of evidence-based strategies and solution-focused interventions to support young people’s mental health and well-being.
* The ability to take a high support, high challenge approach when working with other practitioners to address barriers to a young person’s potential.
* You must have a JNC-recognized Level 3 (or above) Youth Work qualification, which is mandatory for Life Coaches.
About The Role
You will provide support to young people experiencing poor mental health, which may also impact their attendance, attainment, home life, and increase the risk of needing to enter care. Working alongside the young person, their family, and other professionals, you will help identify areas for change and support sustainable improvements.
