Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of hairdressing professionals?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Hairdressing Lecturer to join our Hair and Beauty department. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching, supporting a diverse range of learners, and contributing to an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hair professional or a skilled educator who is eager to share their industry knowledge and support students to achieve their full potential.
Actual Salary : £9,993.33- 12,649.09 per annum (10.5 hours)
Working Pattern: Tuesday; 08:30am - 12:30pm and Thursday 08:30am - 16:00pm
Essential Criteria
1. Hold a relevant Hairdressing industry‑related qualification.
2. Hold a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards one.
3. Hold an assessor qualification.
4. Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English.
5. Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum and qualification frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
6. Deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of Hairdressing courses.
7. Act as a course tutor, providing pastoral support and monitoring student progress and attendance.
8. Embed English, Maths, Equality & Diversity, and British Values into all teaching.
9. Use innovative and creative teaching methods, including digital learning technologies, to motivate and engage learners.
10. Maintain accurate records, including schemes of work, lesson plans, registers and student progress tracking.
11. Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
12. Support student recruitment through events such as open days and promotional activities.
13. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure an excellent learning experience for all students.
