AquaTitans is a small, niche, project-management and engineering oriented organisation, delivering pioneering products and solutions to the subsea industry. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in Glasgow.
As a Product Development Engineer at AquaTitans, you will play a critical role in the design and development of innovative subsea products. You will blend a range of technical and creative skills and have responsibility for taking products from initial concept to market. Working closely with the wider team, you will ensure development projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Creating initial concepts, detailed designs, specifications, and prototypes for new products or improvements to existing ones
• Prototyping solutions using in-house tooling and production capabilities
• Conducting various tests to validate the product meets necessary performance, safety, and quality standards
• Project management of all the development phases, including risk, schedule and budget management
• Problem solving throughout the development process
• Creation of engineering documentation such as specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification, manuals and reports
• Management of internal and external stakeholders, including conducting design reviews and Customer reporting and interfacing
• Support to on-site installation and commissioning
• Support our continual development of internal quality systems and processes
• Any other tasks as reasonably required by your Line Manager
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
• Technical expertise: sound engineering understanding with knowledge of engineering principles, methodologies, processes and materials
• Analytical skills: ability to clearly understand and follow a logical and iterative approach to product development
• Project management skills: plan projects and organise tasks
• Communication skills: Articulate project needs to stakeholders and team members
• Computer proficiency: proficient in the use of computer software necessary to create project documentation
Desirable
• Good technical knowledge/experience of electrical systems and control circuitry
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software
• Experience of working within the rules of Classification Societies for subsea equipment

• Exacting eye for detail and getting things right first time, ensuring that every aspect of the project meets required standards

• Capable of reacting to changes and willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality products
• A passion for sustainable subsea solutions is a plus

The Package
• Salary £40,000-£45,000
• 30 days holiday per annum
• Additional 1 day bonus birthday holiday
• Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week
• Generous Away from Base compensation policy
• 5% company pension contribution
