An exciting new role has arisen for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work within the Adult Eating Disorders Service as part of ongoing system-wide mental health transformation programme. You will work together with the Consultant Psychiatrists for the service to develop and lead the medical (physical) healthcare element of the Lincs Adult Eating Disorder Pathway to meet its patients’ physical health needs. You will therefore need to have an excellent grounding in physical healthcare advanced practice, and experience of working with patients with Eating Disorders. You will be a registered nurse holding a Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP). Alternatively, Master’s Degree training is available and there is the option of working at a Band 7 clinician level whilst undertaking this qualification, with a step up to Band 8a upon completion. You will have an advanced level of autonomy, providing clinical leadership at all levels and will work in partnership with patients, their carer’s and internal/external colleagues within the MDT to deliver high quality, evidence based physical health management. Research and education activities are part of your job plan. Through these endeavours, you will support the development of, and drive improvements in, the medical (physical) health monitoring for patients and colleagues’ skillsets within the service and relevant sections of the Lincs ICS. The post will be hosted by the specialist Adult Eating Disorders Service and expected to work closely with the relevant stakeholders within the Lincs ICS e.g. PCNs, GP, VCSE. The team currently consists of a Team Manager, Nurse Specialists; Consultant Psychiatrist; Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist; Freed Co-ordinator, Dietitian, Assistant Practitioner, Mental Health Well-being Practitioners, Peer Support Workers, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant; Medical Secretary and Team Secretaries. We have strong links with the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service and Trust Dietetic Service. We are part of the East Midlands Provider Collaborative which includes other Eating Disorder Services in the region.
