The Sefton Place Planned Therapy Service operates from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
Job Responsibilities
1. Assist in delivering rehabilitation to adults, primarily older people, mainly within the North Sefton area.
2. Provide therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervision of a qualified therapist.
3. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the smooth running of the service.
4. Offer individual and group activities alongside therapy staff, under supervision.
5. Support senior staff with tasks such as setting up equipment and other duties.
6. Participate in staff development opportunities, including courses and training, with a named supervisor and support from physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
7. Engage actively with service users to promote independence and well-being through therapeutic activities.
8. Facilitate one-to-one and group sessions as appropriate.
9. Support service users to attend and participate in rehabilitation sessions.
10. Provide written updates on service user participation, engagement, and skills post-sessions.
11. Build professional relationships with service users, respecting their views, autonomy, and culture.
12. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
