As our new mechanical engineering apprentice, you will undertake an Engineering Level 3 apprenticeship to build the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Multiskilled Maintenance Engineering Technician.

Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will develop hands-on practical experience, learn core engineering principles, and actively contribute to day-to-day maintenance activities and engineering projects across the site.

Key Responsibilities

* Complete a structured apprenticeship programme, including on-the-job training and formal courses, to meet company and legislative standards.
* Work alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of mechanical, electrical and control systems, supporting maintenance, inspections and repairs, including manual handling and lifting where required.
* Work at height when necessary, following all safety procedures and safe systems of work.
* Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment faults, learning how to work safely and effectively both individually and as part of a team.
* Follow all safe systems of work, health and safety procedures, and maintain high standards of responsible care, housekeeping and 5S across site.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to a positive, continuous-improvement culture to support business objectives.

What do I need to be successful in this role?

* Enrolled in, or working towards, Level 2 or Level 3 Mechatronic Engineering qualification
* A practical, hands-on approach with problem-solving skills
* Eager to learn and develop technical knowledge and skills
* Strong awareness of health and safety requirements
* Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to legal and safety requirements of the site
