Our client in Barnsley are seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant to take ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all transactions. You'll also play a key role in generating financial reports, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to the smooth running of the finance function.
Office-based role with flexible working options - permanent opportunity.
Your new role
1. Uploading invoices through various platforms.
2. Process financial transactions and generate reports.
3. Supporting the finance team with productivity reporting and analysis.
4. Taking ownership of the purchase ledger process from start to finish, including supplier payments
5. Managing weekly sales data
6. Handling day-to-day sales ledger tasks, including raising and sending invoices to a range of clients.
7. Chasing and checking proof of delivery documents, and updating records where needed.
8. Support with month-end and year-end processes
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, we're seeking an experienced and driven finance professional with a strong understanding of end-to-end purchase ledger processes. The ideal candidate will have solid all-round accounts knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll be a confident communicator and a true team player, ready to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced finance environment.
