*The role*
As an *MET Technician*, you'll play a key role in ensuring all vehicle repairs are completed safely, accurately and to manufacturer and industry standards.
*Responsibilities of a MET Technician will include:*
* Inspecting vehicle structure, mechanical components and paintwork
* Ensuring vehicles meet all safety requirements prior to handover
* Removing, storing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components
* Safely handling and disposing of vehicle fluids and gases
* Reassembling vehicles following repair, carrying out detailed quality checks
* Performing 4-wheel alignments where required
* Completing quality control checks, final sign-off and ATA documentation
* Identifying and reporting faults or additional repair requirements
* Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment
* Following approved repair methods and ensuring documentation is accurate and visible
* Carrying out vehicle safety checks, beam settings and recording warnings on job cards
* Ensuring all safety-critical components are fitted and torqued to specification
*Skills and experience required as a MET Technician:*
* A minimum of *5 years' experience* in motor vehicle body repair
* Auto electrical qualifications and practical experience
* Knowledge of computerised wheel alignment systems
* Strong mechanical and suspension knowledge
* A full UK driving licence
* Recognised *Air Conditioning and Encapsulated Glass* training (preferred)
* A flexible, team-focused approach with a positive attitude
* High levels of professionalism, accountability and attention to detail
