As a support worker, you will play a key role in promoting independence and building social connections. Your support will make a real difference in their lives.
Who will I support?
You will be supporting a variety of people who live in their own homes across Frome, Nunney and East Mendips. You will be engaging with a range of different activities in the community and around their homes. You will need to be a driver with access to a car for work purposes. (As a support worker you'll be there to lend a helping hand in a way that puts the person's needs first, this means:
You will adapt your support to fit what each person needs and wants daily.
You will help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible.
You will support people to build confidence and life skills
You will support people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family.
