A career within RSM’s Corporate Tax services will provide you with the opportunity to help our public and private multinational corporate tax clients meet their accounting for income tax reporting requirements and income tax consulting and compliance obligations, while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their tax strategy using both your industry experience and technical expertise with a cross functional team, while delivering a customized technology-enabled service delivery model to facilitate better decision making in achieving our clients’ strategic objectives.
As a Tax Supervisor with RSM, you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two core concepts; your technical & quality expertise, and delivering excellent client service:
1. Provide detail review and analysis of tax returns
2. Work on multiple complex issues while communicating in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between the client and the service team while managing the risk for both the client and the firm
3. Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.
4. Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members
5. Performing, documenting, summarizing, and reviewing research conclusions regarding specific tax issues
6. Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
7. Other duties as assigned
8. Some travel may be required
Basic Qualifications:
9. BA/BS Degree – preferably in Accounting or related field of study
10. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a public accounting environment
11. 2 plus years of experience focusing on corporate federal tax compliance
12. Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
13. Comprehensive understanding of tax law/rules and implications
14. Experience preparing and reviewing returns
15. Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
16. Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740
17. Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
18. Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus
19. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
20. Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus
21. Fluent in French(Francais), German(Deutsch), Japanese(日本語) or Mandarin(普通话) to include but not limited to speaking, writing and reading with a deep understanding of the culture and business practices within country of fluency
22. Proven track record of managing relationships with large non US companies with significant operations in North America

Compensation Range: $75,600 - $154,100
