We are looking for a Head of Sales/Client Services to work for a company who are leaders in global promotional compliance.They advise brands and agencies on the development and delivery of prize promotions via on pack offers, social, digital, along with judging competitions, running prize draws, implementing 'Willy Wonka' style instant wins and overseeing voting for major TV shows such as ITV's National TV Awards and the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.The company is now entering an important period, one that needs a commercial Head of Sales to help them achieve ambitious growth based around the following pillars, strong client retention, targeted Next Generation Clients and broader lead generation.As the Head of Sales you will report directly to the Managing Director and will manage the four separate sales teams that generate the majority of the company revenue.Your duties will include leading the Client Relationship Management teams (for existing clients) and the New Business Development team (outbound/inbound), creating and implementing strategic sales plans to hit agreed targets, as well as building and developing enduring client relationships.Salary: £85,000-£90,000 + £10,000 yearly company bonusLocation: Pinner, Harrow. Hybrid, 3 days in the officeKey Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Management:Lead, motivate, and manage Senior Account Directors and Client Relationship Managers to achieve targets including their newly launched business in the USASetting clear actionable objectives for the Sales team and equipping them with the resources to deliverFoster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.Personally get involved and lead major pitches and projects to ensure full client satisfaction.Overseeing recruitment and creating training programmes to train new and existing employees within the sales team.Ensure attractive pricing for client and the company and upsells and cross-sells where possible.Instil a spirit of hunting not just farming into the team.Sales Targets and Growth:Responsible for achieving company sales targets and objectives.Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth and lead generation.Client Relationship Management:Ensuring that client success and care is integrated into the sales process from first point of contact.Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, particularly through re-focusing the team to more face-to-face meetings, which have receded since the Pandemic.Provide appropriate training to staff to ensure they adopt best practice in all areas.Coordination with Sales Support Functions:Liaise with Marketing, and Operations to ensure a unified and strategic s approach that delivers leads, clients, and projects.Encourage the sales team to organise F2F meetings for our Head of Legal to attend.Align sales strategies with overall business goals, ensuring coordination and communication across teams both pre- and post-sales.Market Analysis and Strategy:Analyse regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.Identify and action strategies for expanding the company's customer base including via trade shows and partnerships.Reporting and Forecasting:Provide timely and effective reporting and analytics showing progress against KPIs.Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements.Essential Role Requirement:12+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales position, leading a team, with measurable results.Managed a team of of 15+ - You will manage 4 direct reports & 10/11 indirect reportsStrong leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve agreed sales objectives whilst maintaining or growing client satisfaction.Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Strong presentation skills and face to face skills.Excellent customer service skills.The ability to manage multiple projects (we often have 100 live projects on the go at any one time) and achieve sales quotas.Good knowledge of competitor research and market trend analysis.Knowledgeable in positioning products and services against competitors.Interested and knowledgeable in promotions and marketing (but without aspirations to move the business into the creative sector, where we would lose our USP).
