Key Responsibilities:
Advising clients on all aspects of data protection, privacy laws, and compliance (including GDPR).
Drafting and negotiating data processing agreements, privacy notices, and other related documentation.
Assisting clients with data breach management, reporting, and investigations.
Advise on complex Subject Access Requests (SARs) and other data subject requests.
Support clients in responding to and resolving personal data breaches, including liaising with the ICO.
Conduct data protection gap analyses and support the implementation of compliance plans.
Keeping up to date with regulatory developments in data protection law.
Supporting the wider team on commercial contracts and other legal matters as required.
What they are looking for:
Qualified solicitor in Scotland from 0-3 PQE, with a good understanding of data protection laws.
Experience in data protection, privacy law, and GDPR compliance.
Strong analytical skills and a commercial approach to providing legal solutions.
Ability to deliver commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
Strong interest in technology, data, and evolving regulations in the digital age.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
