We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead to join our team at HMP Fosse Way, a Category C resettlement prison in Leicester.
HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state-of-the-art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates.

Salary
This position is full time, with an annual salary up to £37,796 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
* Be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer-led forums, planning and delivering projects in line with patient needs and priorities, involving patients where possible in project and training delivery.
* Act as a point of contact and respond to patient engagement inquiries from staff, external partners, and patients. Oversee and manage the health champion peer support model, including delivering Health Champion training across the region.
* Ensure statutory and organizational requirements are met, conduct patient engagement activities frequently across all sites with timely evaluations and feedback, and communicate recommendations with patients, staff, and external partners as necessary.
