We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor in the Shepshed area to work within the commercial team of a well-established social housing contractor, based out of their East Midlands office.
The role of Quantity Surveyor:
1. To guide the financial management of the joint venture maintenance contract, ensuring that financial targets are achieved
2. To provide an effective interface with the clients, Partnering management, consultants and suppliers
3. To Validate and approve subcontractor quotations to ensure value for money is achieved
4. To collate, submit and agree applications/payment with the client
5. To ensure that cost information is collated monthly, and the necessary risk and opportunity are accounted for
6. Ensure that the contract is properly informed as to the commercial and financial position so it can best make business decisions
We would love to hear from a Quantity Surveyor who has:
7. Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
8. Detailed understanding of contracts
9. Strong analytical, financial and numeracy skills
10. Negotiation skills
In return, the Quantity Surveyor will receive:
11. £30,000 - £45,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
