SEN Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support – Manchester

Salary: £89 – £95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
We are recruiting a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 and in small groups with students who present with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs at a mainstream secondary school in South Manchester.
Role Details:
* Support students with behaviour, anxiety, or low self-esteem
* Work alongside class teachers to implement tailored behaviour strategies
* Provide in-class support as well as intervention outside lessons
* Act as a key adult for pupils who require consistent boundaries and support
Required Experience:
* Background in SEN, youth work, mentoring or pastoral support
* Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively
* Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed approaches and restorative practices
* A passion for helping vulnerable young people achieve success in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
