An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Forth Valleys Public Dental Service (PDS) for a Qualified Dental Nurse. We are seeking a highly organised and friendly individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality dental care to patients across Forth Valley.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic and committed Dental Nurses who are passionate about patient care and teamwork. You will work alongside Dentists and fellow Dental Nurses, undertaking both clinical and administrative duties across multiple sites.
The PDS operates Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, across five healthcare sites and three prisons. Flexibility and the ability to travel between locations are essential, as your base may vary depending on service needs.
A tailored induction programme will be provided to support your transition into the role.
Essential Criteria:
Qualified and Registered Dental Nurse (NEBDN Certificate or SVQ Level 3 in Oral Health Care)
Minimum of 12 months experience in General Dental Practice
Evidence of ongoing professional development
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Excellent communication skills
Strong team player
Good IT skills

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
