Bank Night Nurse at Figbury Lodge

Bank (zero hour contract)
Shift times: 20:00-08:00
Location: Figbury Lodge, Canford Heath, Poole – a facility that cares for 60 residential residents and 20 nursing residents.
Key Duties
* Ensure the highest possible standards of care, assess residents' needs and wishes, and develop services to enhance their quality of life.
* Champion independence and personal choice; develop, review and update care plans to meet residents' physical, social and psychological needs.
* Oversee all aspects of medicine management on shift – ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered in accordance with company policies and legislation.
* Build the positive reputation of the business; liaise professionally with visitors and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines – identify, investigate and resolve risks proactively.
* Support, guide, teach and mentor others in line with the NMC Code.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Leadership ability, analysis of problems and proposal of solutions.
* Effective communication and development of professional relationships.
* Understanding and effective use of the IT and communication systems required for the role.
* Respectful of the values, views and needs of others.
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
* Experience delivering nursing care within the elderly health‑care sector.
* Experience participating in quality and clinical governance programmes.
