Accountabilities
* Act as the Council’s lead for S106 and CIL, coordinating and improving the work of the Planning Contributions Team (3 experienced staff).
* Ensure compliance with statutory, national, local, and corporate requirements regarding collection, enforcement, expenditure, and review of S106 and CIL.
* Lead and produce BCP Council’s Infrastructure Funding Statement.
* Provide advice on CIL/Section 106 inquiries from developers, agents, solicitors, and the public.
* Work with Planning colleagues to provide specialist input during complex developer negotiations, understanding growth and infrastructure needs.
* Represent the Council at external meetings related to CIL/Section 106 and disseminate key information internally.

What you'll need to succeed
* Extensive specialist knowledge and experience in planning contributions.
* Degree level qualification or equivalent experience; UK planning qualification preferred.
* Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practices.
* Proficiency with ICT tools like Microsoft Office and planning databases.
* Project management skills and stakeholder management experience.
* Personal qualities as outlined in the job description.
