The post holder manages and delivers safe, effective, and compliant facilities services to the Trust within One LSC, its staff, patients, and visitors. This role requires advanced strategic and operational skills, alongside professional qualifications, to support clinical needs and adhere to modern practices and legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide leadership and strategic vision for the Facilities Division, covering at the site operated by the Trust within One LSC
* Manage and ensure high-quality, patient-focused facilities services, enhancing patient, visitors, and staff experiences.
* Achieving value for money: Whether services are delivered in-house or outsourced.
* Deputising for the Director of Facilities as required.
The post holder will represent the Trust / One LSC in external forums, lead strategic projects, and support the Facilities / One LSC’s Divisional visions to drive positive changes and improve patient care.
The post holder will be responsible for implementing strategic and efficient initiatives throughout the Facilities division and the Trust, including overseeing the divisional WRP (Waste Reduction Plan).

* Switchboard
* Waste Management Services
* Decontamination Unit
* Administration
* Transport
* Other services as appropriate
The post involves close collaboration with the Trust's Executive Team, including Non- Executive Directors, Trust Governors, and the Trust Management Executive, including Deputy Directors, Divisional Directors, Divisional Directors of Nursing, Heads of Department, Matrons, the Infection Prevention Control Team, and Quality Improvement Leads and One LSC Directors.

Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant strategic and operational experience in acute healthcare or comparable sector.
* Significant senior management experience within healthcare or comparable sector.
Desirable criteria
* Project management – engaging with multi- disciplinary project teams of NHS staff and external consultants for both large- and small-scale projects.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Degree level qualification or equivalent, plus postgraduate courses & experience to master’s level or equivalent in Facilities or hospitality-related subject.
* Membership in an appropriate professional institution.
* Evidence of Continuing post- graduate professional development.
* Management qualification at the post-graduate level.
* NEBOSH General Certificate.
Desirable criteria
* Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
