Overview
The Information Governance Unit are looking for a dynamic, hard-working individual to join our busy Information Governance Team. Candidates must have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of minute taking and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is a must.
The successful applicants will form part of a hardworking team and be expected to partake in weekly IG presentations to large audiences and carry out IG audits.

A UK full driving license is essential for this post. Please note that an international driving license is not accepted.
The post holder will be responsible for providing RA (Registration Authority) Agent and general administration support to the Information Governance Unit. This includes the registration of users, printing of smartcards and maintenance of system access levels. This also includes a range of duties in support of the Information Governance Unit.

Responsibilities
1. To provide the daily operation of Registration Authority (RA), Position Based Access Control (PBAC).
2. To co-ordinate a personal electronic diary with other RA/IG team staff diaries in order to ensure adequate cover for the RA function to ensure an efficient and timely RA service to all users.
3. To support users; face to face, by telephone and by e-mail.
4. RA Agent duties involve:
o registering users for smartcards
o checking proofs of identity in line with national policy
o taking photographs of users
o troubleshooting and resolving smartcard issues
o revoking or amending access rights as requested
o running reports from the National Spine
o undertaking regular maintenance checks of the smartcard printers
o keeping abreast of all administration as part of the RA service
o informing users of their responsibilities for the use of a smartcard
o regularly auditing the use of smartcards across the organisation
o dealing with any incidents involving the misuse of a smartcard
5. Co-ordinate the receipt of and responses to RA Agent, Sponsor and user enquiries, providing problem solving support and follow-up training where appropriate.
