Purpose As a member of the Investment Team, the Risk and Investment Analyst will play a key part in supporting decisionmaking and other tasks across investment, responsible investment, risk management, and monitoring processes, helping us deliver strong outcomes for investors across the LCIV fund range. You will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, ensuring that processes are implemented efficiently, whilst interacting with external investment managers and contributing to client-related and ad-hoc work alongside the generation of investment ideas. Strong alignment to LCIV Investment Beliefs is essential. The Investment team is compact, so flexibility, teamwork and curiosity are essential. Key Responsibilities Monitor LCIV Funds and investment portfolios by producing analysis using Bloomberg Enterprise and/or investment manager reports. Share insight with colleagues and develop ideas for enhancing reporting to investors in LCIV funds. Monitor fund's compliance to mandates and restrictions. Review of scheme performance for the boroughs. Prepare and monitor various measures of Investment Risk across the ACS fund range, including Liquidity, Leverage and Tracking Error. Develop expertise in the use of eVestment as a monitoring and screening tool. Participate in meetings with external investment managers and contribute to the formal monitoring process. Work on manager selection and fund modification projects. Contribute as needed to Client-related and ad-hoc projects. Support delivery of investment processes and procedures and contribute to enhancement of processes. Liaise with the LCIV Operations and Fund Accounting teams, ensure accuracy of data and help resolve day to day issues. Support colleagues with Fund transactions and transition projects. Research market trends and investment managers and develop ideas with the wider team, with a particular focus on Investment Risk. Key Skills and Experience Essential Relevant degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance or Economics preferred. Commitment to obtaining a relevant professional qualification such as the Chartered Financial Analyst or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Strong written and oral communications skills.
